Bought the Photek Softlightner 36″ back in the late 90s when I wasn’t able to afford a pricey softbox and the interesting thing is that didn’t upgrade to other softboxes until being inspired by Peter Coulson’s YouTube ch in 2021. The reason I got the Softlightner was because I had been hired to shoot Fantasy Unlimited fetish fashion shows and I didn’t desire to shoot with the harsh on camera flash.
Used it at my OK Hotel studio back in 2008 and only modified the light a little with a Manfrotto Avenger A2030DKIT (C-Stand).
In 2014 Gothic Pride Seattle hired me as one of their photographers and once again the Softlightner saves the day 😉
